No action has been taken against the confiscated goods for seven long years. Officials visited the warehouse just six months ago and said that floating bombs had been stored in the barracks this time around, and they feared an explosion could destroy the entire city of Beirut. Many see it as an attack, not an accident. The port was home to 85% of Lebanon's food grains. There was also an emergency food supply. Lebanon's economy has long been almost fragile. Half of Lebanon's population currently lives below the poverty line.
